Elliots beach is 60 km away from Chennai. The best time to visit the place is between October and March. Accommodation at the Elliots beach is never a problem. There are luxury hotels as well as discount hotels. The place is a wonderful picnic spot. You can laze about the beach or bath as much as you like. The beach is lined with food joints and you will get al kind of delicacies. The place was once a favorite haunt of the colonial rulers.

Kanyakumari Beach

Kanyakumari beach is the southern most tip of the Indian mainland. The place is famous for its natural beauty and geographical uniqueness. This is one of the most visited beaches of Tamil Nadu. There is a lighthouse at the end here and this is the perfect place to have a panoramic view of the place. Among some of the places that you must visit while you are in Kanyakumari is the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial.

Marina Beach

The vast stretch of sand that gently slope down to the onrushing waves is a spectacular sight. This is one of the finest place to spend the evening and the early morning. Marina Beach attracts a large number of crowd everyday. But other than the sea beach which of course is the primary attraction, there are other places of interest as well. At the aquarium near by, you will get to see a number of exotic variety of fishes.
